On Friday 3 May 2024, during the Spanish free period, students decided to skip class. Jival Sirju who had English B, decided to remain in the Spanish class. Aditya Persad, Myers Sampath, Nicholas Singh, Daniel Ramphal and Sachin Sankar went 5B thinking they would not get caught. Ms. Venessa Bhagwandeen came to use the 5B classroom, and as she opened the door she saw 5 men on the ground playing the game "Insight". She started to laugh. Mrs. Atri Labban walked in and Ms. Bhagwandeen was forced to send them to the deans' office. Jival was reported for skipping his class. As punishment, they all had to clean the school's compound.
