The Environmental Club of Shiva Boys' Hindu College hosted a One-Week Challenge to get students into the habit of recycling from Monday 6th May 2024 to Friday 10th May 2024, initially. Due to 4S finding a “loophole” in the rules, they bought cases of water, as the winning class would've got KFC for the heaviest bag. The challenge was supposed to be used as a gauge to identify how much plastic students use per class a week in aid of finding initiatives to reduce waste. With 4S buying cases of water, other classes weren't able to keep up as their normal waste wasn't enough. In an attempt to level the playing field, Mrs Riana Ramjugsingh allowed all classes to bring in trash from home because 4S produced so much from buying cases of water and using it at school. Furthermore, she also extended the date until Monday 13th May 2024. In the end, 4S won first place but due to technicalities the initial prize changed to cash and split into 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. 4S got $300 TDD.
